London-based treasury management leader EuroFinance has announced the winners for its annual EuroFinance Treasury Excellence Awards 2023. In the Technology Implementation category, Siemens Gamesa emerged as the winner. The company embarked on an ambitious project to construct a new payment system during a complex carve-out and merger.

Mastering Strategic Change Winner: Airtel Africa

In the Mastering Strategic Change category, Airtel Africa took the crown. The telecom provider, which operates in 14 frontier markets, utilized targeted financing solutions and innovative liquidity management to overcome numerous challenges.

Risk and Resilience Winner: Bristol Myers Squibb

New Jersey-based drugmaker Bristol Myers Squibb won the Risk and Resilience category. The company used various strategic moves, including a $6B debt restructuring and acceleration of the 2023 cash flow hedging program, to turn challenges into opportunities.

The winners will present case studies of their initiatives at the 32nd annual EuroFinance International Treasury Management event in Barcelona, which will attract more than 2000 treasury professionals from September 27th-29th.
