Tell us about yourself?

Experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the health wellness and industry. Skilled in Sales, Business Development, Business Strategy, Sales Management, and Cross-functional Team Leadership.

A strong business development professional with a Certificate In Entrepreneurial Management focused on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at The University of Iowa.

What lessons has being an entrepreneur taught you?

Many lessons but I would say most important is continue moving forward you will be faced with many challenges and you fail, but “It’s important to learn how to fail and move on from failure. You have to risk failure in order to be successful”.

If you could go back in time to when you first started your business, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

To shift your time line as everything takes longer than expected, and do not give up you must continue pushing forward.

A lot of entrepreneurs find it difficult to balance their work and personal lives. How have you found that?

That is real challenge, and I do not have a good answer for that. I know the trendy answer is being an entrepreneur is easy and personal life is key, but the reality is it different for everyone, and in the end you can only do the best you can for yourself, and your personal lives.

Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?

Our influences started in sport and branched out into corporate wellness. We work with sports organizations and corporations globally.

What do you think is your magic sauce? What sets you apart from the competitors?

We have the most advanced testing, and our at home testing system is very unique. We use laboratory results from a blood spots and urine sample.

How have you found sales so far? Do you have any lessons you could pass on to other founders in the same market as you just starting out?

We have seen tremendous growth over the last 5 years, and only advice I can give is find a market where you add value to your clients and you will see tremendous growth.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far in your business, and how did you overcome it?

Our biggest challenge was scaling up. When we started to expand we did not have the operational structure to support it. But with hard work by myself and our COO Duncan Spence we were able to restructure our entire process, and make it work.

What do you find are the advantages of operating your business in London?

London is such a global city! We are a business to business company, and London gives us access to companies globally.

Are there any issues with having a London based business? Have you experienced these?

No, we have not had any issue at this time.

How has the higher than UK average cost of living impacted your ability to work and live in London and how has this also impacted your ability as an employer?

Like all employers we are sensitive to this issue, and we compensate our employees properly.

If you had to relocate your business to another city in the UK, which one would it be and why?

We will not be moving from London at anytime. London will continue to be our Global HQ.

How has BREXIT impacted your business (if at all)?

It has not impacted us at all.

What is your vision for your company in the next 5 years?

We are launching a new product in 2023 and that will be a big part of our next 5 years of growth. Plus sustain and grow our current business.
